About Kristine Aretha

Kristine is a licensed insurance agent and partner in Aretha & Associates, LLC. She entered the family insurance business in 2001, and became partner/owner in 2008. Kristine provides a solid financial base for her clients through life insurance, annuities, long term care insurance, as well as disability insurance. She enjoys educating her clients in how to create a tax free retirement as well as how to establish their own “pension” (retirement income) and in turn pass that retirement nest egg onto their loved ones without heavy, immediate or unnecessary taxes. Kristine has presented numerous workshops and seminars. Topics include: “Tax Free Retirement?…Yes”; “Financial Independence for Women”; “The Top 10 Ways to Outsmart Uncle Sam”; and “Long Term Care Insurance…Cost of Care”.

Association

Kristine is an involved member of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also currently Vice President of Woman’s Life Chapter 827, Chicks 4 Charity. Kristine is also involved in her industry and was a member of NAIFA, (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), having served on the board of NAIFA-Greater Detroit. In addition, she served as NAIFA Washtenaw Government Relations Chair, National Committee Person and NAIFA Washtenaw President. Kristine served at the State level as NAIFA Michigan Regional Vice President and NAIFA Michigan Advisor Political Involvement Chair; in addition she served at the National level. This experience enabled her to be quoted in the Business Section of USA Today; January 2015. She is also a Qualifying Member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) 2013, 2010 and 2009. Kristine was also an approved member of the National Ethics Association; and a member of NAFA (National Association for Fixed Annuities); Kristine enjoys, and remains involved in, many local groups and charitable organizations.

Education

Kristine received her Bachelor of Arts from Kalamazoo College. The title of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow was conferred upon her in 2011, by The American College. Kristine continues to stay abreast of the current industry and product developments through continual and ongoing education each year, with such topics as “Estate Planning”, “Impaired Risks”, and “Disability Income.” Kristine has also taught industry courses such as “Woman and Finance.”
